We’re a family owned and operated business that prides itself on service with a smile.  We got our start in the ice cream business in 2004 by purchasing and operating The Sweet Shop, an ice cream shop in the food court of the Patapsco Flea Market in Baltimore.  Recognizing a unique opportunity, in 2009 we moved the business to downtown Catonsville, MD and renamed it You Scream Ice Cream.

Our idea of recreating an old fashioned ice cream parlor at our new location fit well with our hand dipped Hersheys Premium Ice Cream products.  We do ‘all things ice cream’ – cups, cones, sundaes, banana splits, root beer floats, and milkshakes (including malts).  We have an impressive display of retro candies/treats (i.e., Boston Baked Beans, Bonomo Turkish Taffy, Pumpkin Seeds, etc.); serve a variety of classic soft drinks; and have several children’s toys/games that prompt customers to say “I remember these!” We show family oriented classic musicals, sitcoms and movies, including some ‘Talkies’ with no speaking.

If ice cream is not for you, come and try our rich and creamy soft serve. It is available in vanilla and chocolate.  We also offer fresh fruit smoothies, snowballs, Italian water ice, and other tasty selections.

Having been named Best Ice Cream Parlor in Maryland by USA Today (8/26/10), and subsequently featured on WJZ TV Morning Edition (9/7/10) we say “Thank You” to all of our supporters, both old and new.  We’re open year ‘round so stop on by!
